How the system works

Members earn one point when another member likes one of their posts, comments, or replies. Points accumulate into levels, and the current Skool documentation lists nine levels. Community owners can also make courses unlock at selected levels.

Important design detail: because points come from peer likes rather than from simply posting, the system can reward content other members find valuable. It can still be gamed, so community norms matter.

Where level locks make sense

Use level locks for bonus material, advanced templates, optional deep dives, or other rewards that make sense after participation. Avoid locking essential onboarding or core instructions behind an engagement threshold. Members should not need to manufacture activity before they can understand how to use the community.
